Please use the general directions you will find in the lesson pages. All scripts use html which allows them to be used. You will be allowed to change these variables to your personal preference. There are other parts to the script which are VBS and/or Java. You do not change them as they are what make the script work.
As you progress in choosing and practicing the scripts, you will find they are very much alike. Some take more graphics, background tiles, or music files. But they all use the same language. At the top of my scripts you will see a list of elements needed for the preparation. That is to help you to get ready to put the script together.
I hope you have fun with these. I am only using scripts which I have written in my scripting class so that the format will be familiar to you. Other script writers use their own formats. You are not limited to just my scripts but those are the only ones I can assist you with for the time being.
No question is too dumb to ask or answer. If that were so, I wouldn't know anything. So ask away! Any suggestions about the lesons or scripts, let me know. I am open to making this as easy as possible for you.
The most common mistakes that people make is spelling punctuation. All stationery scripts should be placed in a folder. Your folder can be on your desktop; in fact, it is much more accessible there. And remember that stationery is ERY, not ARY. At the end of each of these pages, you will see a link to the next lesson step. Please try to follow the order of the lessons. Once you feel comfortable with the lessons, you can deviate any way you want. Below, I am placing simple scripts so you can locate the one you might want to try. If you are just starting, please start with the Left Scroll. The pages in this lesson use this script for their basis. I also suggest what sort of graphic to use in the script. On the left you can click on the script and see it in action. Then download the clean script by clicking on Download. This will be a zip file and I believe WinRar will open it or of course, Winzip. Unzip the clean script to Notepad and name it appropriately. Then save it to your stationery class folder. Remember to save it under a different name as you begin creating your personal stationery. After choosing which script to try, follow the general directions as you did for the first script. I am available if you need help.
